The Institution contacted Arizpe for an emergency rapid response request after a booster pump providing water pressure to the facilities failed. Of critical importance was maintaining operations for the prison’s 2,400 inmates. The problem was immediately assessed and it was determined that the wells, pumps and motors were in varying stages of disrepair. Arizpe prepared a performance specification for the repairs to the well, pumps and re-sizing of the motor.

Arizpe conducted field investigations and provided a plan to rebuild the wells and change out the motors to improve reliability. In the process, it was determined that the Institution could realize savings on their utility cost by making adjustments to their method of operations and to their existing SCADA system. All projects were finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
