Arizpe was sub-contracted through Barich inc. to provide architectural design as well as electrical and civil engineering for the IT infrastructure modernization at the San Antonio Airport. The work involves the renovation of existing spaces within Terminal A, the construction of a new main distribution facility and two stand-alone IT distribution nodes off the tarmac that connect to the city’s sonnet ring.

While this is predominately an IT driven project, it demonstrates Arizpe’s ability to integrate into highly technical teams and work with a vast array of consultants on complex projects under high security conditions. Arizpe was a driving force in the complex and political process of room selection and Arizpe is leading the team in design, cost estimating, code review, regulatory strategy and interface with the city’s Planning and Development Department.
